Providers can assess medical needs, suggest treatments, recommend home remedies, and write a prescription.

When to go to the emergency room
If you are experiencing life-threatening or serious medical issues, do not wait. Call 9-1-1 for help. Emergency rooms/departments are open 24/7, 365 days a year. Go to the emergency room as quickly as possible if you are experiencing:

- Coughing or vomiting blood
- Severe burns
- Deep cuts or bleeding that won’t stop
- Sudden blurred vision
